End of holiday = garden frenzy

In the last few days, we have:
Planted a grafted passionfruit vine;
Repotted a discount chilli plant, a lemon Myrtle and a peace lily;
Started broccoli, cabbage, kale, silver beet and leeks in peat pots in the shade;
Built a new no-dig bed, and put in warrigal greens and alpine strawberries ( tomato seeds will go in Wed… Apparently they keep going well into cooler weather);
And planted more silver beet, some baby beetroot and garlic chives in the front bed.

The lettuces are exploding, the zucchini and tomatoes are starting to fruit, & the pumpkin, cucumber and rock melon vines are taking off, and the existing beetroot & herbs are going well. Some eggplants are going great guns, others seem to be moping. It’s very wet & humid in Sydney, so the chill is & capsicum are a little mopey.

I still need to work out what to do with my avocado trees – may repot, I think, as we don’t have a good place to put them in the ground yet ( due to the existing landscaping). Mr B has advertised an entire mature garden bed online, with the caveat that the buyer needs to remove the plants themselves. When that goes, we’ll use the entire bed for sweet potatoes, but with my scented geraniums in for added gorgeousness. There’s still a ways to go, but we’re making great progress.
