Homebuying milestone #4: first truly ‘creative’ description of a property

We went to see a house on a very steep sloping block today. It was worth looking at, as it was in a neighbourhood we hadn’t really considered, but that ticks quite a few of our boxes.

Anyway, it had been VERY badly renovated, by someone who seriously overestimated their brick-laying ability. It also had a major damp problem in the back of the house – a big ‘no’ all round.

The REA had described the ugly shed half way up the terraced back yard as a garage – there was no way you could get a vehicle up there (unless it was a hovercraft). He also claimed the property had a shed – which was true if you count a sheet of corrugated iron propped up on some timber as a shed. It was funny…to the point of being tragic.
